Hypnosis For Weight Loss

Have you considered trying hypnosis for weight loss? This may seem like a strange way to try to lose weight, but it can be part of your overall weight loss strategy. Hypnosis is simply a way to access your subconscious mind, and get rid of some blocks that may be making it hard for you to lose weight.

 

How can you use hypnosis? You can either go to a hypnotherapist who is experienced with the issues you want to work on, or try it on your own. There are several ways to use the technique of self-hypnosis. You can find a tape or mp3 download that programs your mind to lose weight.

 

You can also create your own self-hypnosis weight loss program. You could get into a meditative state and repeat affirmations that state your goals. When you do this, visualize yourself as you want to be. You should also state any affirmations in the present tense, and in a positive way. For example, don’t say, “I want to lose 20 pounds.” Say instead, “I now weigh__pounds and feel great!”

 

Another technique is to record your own voice to induce a hypnotic state. This can be powerful because you can sort of split yourself in two, being the person doing and receiving the new programming. You tend to listen more to yourself!

 

While hypnosis can be an effective technique for weight loss, you should not think of it as a stand-alone practice. It is not meant to replace diet and exercise. It is, rather, a way to make yourself more inclined to follow your diet and make other positive lifestyle changes. It’s not that hypnosis by itself makes you lose weight. It may, however, reduce your cravings for fattening foods or make you feel like exercising.

 

We are really talking about a kind of mind control, but the kind you use on yourself for you own positive purposes. With hypnosis mind control techniques, you can reprogram your mind to work for your benefit.
