5 Clever Tips to Get Your Kids to Pick Up

Getting Kids to pick up can be an agonizing experience, so you must be clever. Here are 5 clever tips to get your kids to pick up.

  1. Play I Spy. Say something like, “I Spy something red that is not put away. This is especially useful if two are competing.
  2. Use the alphabet. Have you children put things away in alphabetical order: Animals, Bike, Chalk, etc.
  3. Play make-believe. You are the King of Clean Land and this mop is your sword. The enemy is a dirty floor.
  4. Clock Race. Set a timer and watch your children rush to put things away before it goes off.
  5. Laundry basketball. Place a laundry basket in the middle of their room and have them go around and pick up clothes and toss them in. Yell “Score! every time they hit the basket.

These ideas will hopefully help you come up with other clever games. Start with these and go crazy. Your kids will love it.
